It was bound to happen...
The vintage brooch trend has made it's way into prom corsages. In the last few years they have shown up as accents in bridal bouquets or as the entire bridal bouquet.
I don't know who designed this lovely bouquet found while searching
but it's one of my favorites.
Look at all the different styles available to local florists for corsages this year!
Everything from vintage shapes to whimsical butterflies.
These are a bit different than a real brooch found in your grandma's jewelry box, since
they don't often have an actual fastener on the back to attach to a blouse or blazer.
Many of these, specifically designed for the floral industry,
have a a special metal pick with a platform
to attach the brooch.
And here designed into corsages...
As you can see in these examples, the brooch becomes the corsage focal point, with the flowers and accent ribbons
as accents. With a little imagination though, I can see some brooch styles placed to the side with flowers on the other side to balance the corsage design.
