The package of Galassia flowers materials needed to
make this beautiful corsage....
make this beautiful corsage....
A couple weeks ago I posted about these new florescent flowers
& now I get to try it out for myself!
I'm using a stem of peach spray roses, a ribbon base to glue the flowers into
and the silver beaded wristlet. On that sheet of paper are the directions-
you can also find them here.
For today, I'll attach the ribbons to the device and the device to the wristlet
with a couple squares of U-glue.
here is a video showing how it came together..
It's VERY cool- nothing else like it anywhere..
(this should count for at least 3)
Pretty easy to put together
Cons:
That fugly Velcro wrist strap I cut off.
the light part is a little awkward & bulky- I would worry about
it flopping around on a fancy bracelet.
and the price-
this feature adds $45+ (depending on your area) to the price
of your basic corsage.
So the question is
Would YOU want this for your prom?
Here's a chance to win the materials I used!
(Compliments of Galassia Flowers)
It's easy-
Just leave a comment! (you may need to subscribe first & I hope you do!)
A name will be picked next Saturday (4/21) at 4pm Pacific time
Remember to check back !
cool stuff! did your fingers glow?! ;)
ReplyDeleteha ha.. YES they did! (but it washed off easily)
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! I was raised in a flower shop, I remember when we taped and wired everything! Your designs are amazing, beautiful, original and outstanding! Thank you for sharing your talents!
ReplyDeleteI think I should be in High School just so I could have one of these of my own. It's so cool.
ReplyDeleteThat is super cool, is anyone distributing it on the US? I'd love to get my hands on some! Also did I read that right, the feature adds $45?
ReplyDeleteGlow in the dark ROCKS!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, does the spray come in more than once color? Or does the color it glows depend on the color of the flowers?
ReplyDeleteRebeka- thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteUnknown?- I know, right? me too! ha ha
Al Chia- Thanks, they are working on finding a distributor- I had them ship me a couple direct & Yes they are spendy- do you think it's worth it?
Sprout- the color depends on the flower
Consider yourselves all entered into the drawing!
It's very cool & worth it for an event with a big budget, for my shop, prom is not one of them, maybe a wedding.
DeleteSo are they interference colors? The peach flowers glow blue, red flowers glow green, purple flowers glow yellow, etc.? I have paints that work like that...
DeleteTotally awesome - not to get them to catch on!
DeleteLove it especially since it is different. We have a few girls who like different. Your video helped a lot..thanks for the share...This might just be the next "new" thing..at least for one season...lol
ReplyDeleteSher
No Sprout- I don't think so- But I can try a red rose tomorrow and post a picture
ReplyDeleteI have a foreign exchange student(my daughter for a year) and my son going to the Prom this May.... do you know if there is anyway I can get some of this product for their flowers? I have looked at their website, but I couldn't find a distribuitor for my area. (Terre Haute, IN) Any thoughts or suggestions?
ReplyDeleteRebeka- do you need two total? I have one that I can send to you, and then there's the one for the drawing. I would be happy to send you my extra one if you like. send me a message on the Twigs page..

Just curious how I can get my hands on this stuff for a family friend who is florist. I would love for her to use on my daughters prom flowers and her friends prom flowers. Their prom is April 28,2012. It is so awesome!!

this is the link to their distributors page- you can email them directly using the email provided for florists and other retailers.
don't forget you are now entered to win one in the drawing this Saturday!
This would be popular among out prom-going teens.
